I work in marketing, and am fascinated by the things that work and the things that don’t; as I’m on the analytics side, it’s up to me to decide what “working” should look like and how we should achieve it.
The quotation that gives the site its name is from St Augustine, via Thomas Hardy – “thou hast councilled a better course than thou hast allowed”. I come into frequent contact with models of how things should or could be in our interactions with our colleagues and customers. This quotation is relevant because it is both petulant and accurate; the things that should be done are the more difficult ones.
